Tintoretto in Venice, Great Exhibition at Doge’s Palace and Accademia Galleries
Venice is getting ready to celebrate one of its greatest and most famous artists: Jacopo Tintoretto, one of the most famous Italian painters, perhaps the last great Renaissance painter.
500 years after its birth, the Venetian Civic Museums have decided to dedicate to Tintoretto starting from September 7, 2018 the spaces of the Accademia Galleries (where some of his paintings are already permanently kept), 5 minutes walk from our Bloom B&B, and the Doge’s Apartment of Palazzo Ducale in St. Mark’s Square.
For the occasion two exhibitions will be set up: ‘The Young Tintoretto‘ at the Accademia Galleries and ‘Tintoretto 1519 – 1594‘ at Doge’s Palace.
Works by Tintoretto will arrive from all major museums and private collections around the world, including the National Gallery, the Royal Collection, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Prado in Madrid.
From September 7, 2018 to January 6, 2019 Bloom B&B recommends to all guests to visit the exhibitions dedicated to Tintoretto.
